Rethink Ability

FAQs

We’ve gathered some of the most common questions about the Rethink Ability Summit to help you feel prepared, informed, and at ease. Whether you're attending for the first time or partnering behind the scenes, we’ve got you covered.

About the Event

  • Rethink Ability is a free, virtual, 3-day event designed to challenge how workplaces approach disability, accessibility, and inclusion. Through engaging sessions led by disabled leaders and advocates, the event offers fresh perspectives, practical tools, and actionable strategies to build more human-centered, equitable work environments.

  • Unlike traditional conferences that focus on compliance or check-the-box diversity, Rethink Ability centers the lived experiences of disabled professionals and reframes accessibility as a driver of innovation, belonging, and organizational change. The event is fully virtual, intentionally inclusive, and designed to move beyond theory into tangible impact.

We are organizing this event to show that accessibility is achievable, and that the outcomes of inclusive environments far surpass others.

  • Rethink Ability’s steering committee is a cross-disciplinary team of inclusion practitioners, advocates, accessibility strategists, and Disabled leaders who have helped shape the event’s content and direction to ensure it reflects the needs and priorities of the disability community.

  • Rethink Ability is open to everyone, and especially relevant for those working to create more inclusive, accessible workplaces. You’ll get the most out of this event if you identify as one (or more) of the following:

    • HR professionals looking to embed accessibility into people practices

    • Curious accomplices who want to learn, listen, and take meaningful action

    • Technical leaders building tools, platforms, or systems with inclusion in mind

    • ERG leaders advocating for disability inclusion within their organizations

    • Senior leadership responsible for setting culture and driving organizational change

    • Disabled employees, whether you’ve disclosed your disability or not

No matter your role or experience level, you’re welcome here.
